[XTCAP] Destroyed with no warning every mission

Post by Darksaint » Sun, 28. Apr 13, 08:31

Never had this problem before with an X game. Now, no matter what ship I use it is almost always destroyed with no warning. No visual of incoming attacks, no damage prior to the explosion/destruction. There are much bigger enemy ships around, but if I get no warning how am I supposed to take any action?

Is this happening in a particular location? Because it sounds like a minefield.

Also is this in X3TC, X3AP, or both and is/are the game(s) modified? The thread title is not clear on this.

It could be a high yield missile effect, mines as suggested, or the removal of plot/mission-related or improperly-spawned ships. It could even be a planet atmosphere effect.

I wouls go with the minefield thought.
In some sectors there are minefields just inside the gate...often the south gate.

Planet atmosphere usually warns you, unless you are in a very fast M5 or the ship is OOS.

I haven't played AP for more than 30 minutes, so don't know if it's the same way or not.

But in TC, if you're in Earth's sector, that would be normal. You're not allowed to explore Earth's sector. You instantly explode if you head anywhere but that Taurus station.

Without spoiling anything, no - this does not apply to AP

A little more detail from the OP would be most helpful.
