Some clarifications on "sell for best price" command

newbie question.

The above command does not take in consideration my buying price, is this right?

Lets say i bought energy at 15cr and then select the above command, select 1 jump distance, it will find the best price in the area and go sell it Even if I Lose money? is this correct??

Correct.

However, there's usually a station within 3 jumps that's at 19 starved for energy, so 90% of the time (statistics out of thin air) if you extend the range a couple jumps you can make a profit at 19.

"Good" price to buy energy at is 13-14, though.
