playing X3AP on steam. need help installing CLS.

i've tried several times to install the CLS mod with no luck. i have also tried to find ways to get my complex suppliers to keep running ore, EC's etc between my complexes but i have found no way to do it. i read that i could install X3AP outside steam but i bought it through steam. is there a place i could download the game without going through steam AND without paying for it again? is there a fix? btw, i have tried nosteam.exe but it is missing a file. of course, i doubt that nosteam would help with installing the CLS mod since it is still in the programs(x86) folder, which is protected.

i love playing X3AP but i'm getting tired of having to micromanage my complexes. if i can't find a way to use CLS mod OR have some way to automate my supply ships, i'm going to end up looking for a different game to play.

the bonus pack automatically finds your AP install and contains CAG/CLS

At least it automatically found my install

I assume you are talking about the bonus pack in general.

Make sure that it is being installed into the correct location otherwise it will not work. This post should point you in the right direction.

been to both of those. it DID install in the correct folder. if i try to go to the ...\addon folder, i get the message that X3TC is not installed in that folder. when it goes straight to the ...\X3terranconflict folder, it does go through the install process. it just does not show up in the game.

i read that my "program files (x86)" is "protected". can i just move the folder OUT of the program files (x86) folder and the game still work?

Are you sure that it's not in the game? Check if argon eq docks stock commodity logistics software. That is the prerequisite software for running cag if the eq has the software the bonus pack is installed

just checked. it is NOT there.

Which bonus pack did u get? 4.1.01 or 5.1.0.0? U need the 5.1 for ap sorry but I just want to check the obvious culprits first
