So I'm sitting docked at the terran SPP when...

I hear the announcement "Will the parents of the Argon girl Suzie please come pick her up at the casino."

So...what is the most likely scenario here?
1. Argon defectors
2. Kidnapped Argon girl for ransom
3. Parents killed her real parents in the war, and they are now taking care of her.

Maybe it's a secret code.

4. It's a general, coded message to all station employees.

I'm a fan of mundane answers. Clearly she wandered off in the space mall and got lost.

It's less interesting but it makes the universe more interesting to me when normal people have normal problems in it. Little kids sometimes wander off in the future, too.

5: A stray from another Argon trader doing business in Terran territory.

Seriously, you'd be amazed how quickly a kid can disappear if you take your eye off them.

But an Argon child wandering off on a Terran station? (presuming its AP and the war is still active, of course - if it's TC, or AP after the war, then the intrigue is lost)

Obviously a trick by the Terran Intelligence Services.

Anyone showing up would most certainly be an Argon, and off to the Ice mines they go.
Sure glad I didn't purchase a new computer this release.

Little Susie has a serious gambling problem and was banned from all commonwealth casinos, hence the reason she has taken her bad habit to Terran space, war be damned.

I think you mean Susie's parents have the problem. Poor little Susie just gets bored and is constantly getting herself lost.

After 9 year you start to wonder if she hasn't reached the legal age to enter a casino by now.

You would be surprised how much mingling actually happens in the middle of wars. During the American Civil War, soldiers from both sides actually traded coffee for tobacco in the evenings between battles. I'm sure there's any number of Argon entrepreneurs living in Terran space despite the officially xenophobic stance of the Terrans.

Enter? She got a job as a showgirl there to pay for out-of-Empire tuition at a Terran university. It's quite a commute home for the holidays.

And that is just real years of x-games.
Fast forward in game-story years, she could be a grandmother by now !

I keep tellin' ya, it's a special security code. When the station needs to get rid of someone permanently, they ask for the 'parents of Susie to come to the casino'. That way, command knows there's about to be an 'airlock emergency opening'. :fg: :skull:
