Can't make a CAG
So I was going to start my own stations now that I've saved up some bank but I can't make any ships into CAGS. I've followed all the guides I've read to the letter but set commercial representation or anything else that I'm supposed to see as options are not showing up. No clue what I'm doing wrong. Like I said I've followed each guide to the letter
Did you download the bonus pack off the website?

In the ships trade menu I have
Manual trade run
Remote best buy
Remote best sell
Manual trade buy
Manual trade sell
Buy ware for best price
Buy ware .......
Sell ware for best price
Sell ware .......
Transfer frieght via drones (grey)
Start sector trader
Start universal trader
That's all I see. Not even a greyed out option for commercial representation

is the ship docked? i forgot about this part...
it doesn't have to be at your factory, but the CAG/CLS scripts give your ship a 'pilot', and that won't happen unless the ship is at a dock.
call it realism, call it whatever....but....yah. for the first time starting a CAG/CLS ship, it has to be docked somewhere that it can 'hire a pilot'.

Fixed! On a side note, I started TD on my first game. I collected some derelicts to get started. Now I'm still flying my saber, but I've gt 11 ships total. 5 acting as local traders getting me re and money. I've got 20 mil in the bank. I figured I'd start a few station before going back to plot. I'm at the point in the terran plot where you should also start final fury. Any suggestions? I've been thinking about getting in a m3+ but I kinda like speed.
score - enjoy the profitsssss
both ships i'd recommend are available in Aldrin, and both would require some patience/effort to get kitted out right, but...once you do, they're more than worth it. if you're really after an M3, a spitfyre is a fun little ship - and if you want to step up to m6, the springblossom has great speed, storage, and offensive capabilities.
in both instances, the ships primarily take 'prototype' weapons that are only made in aldrin, tho...and can take some patience or engineering on your part to get a full loadout, but they're worth it. in any event, the springblossom tops out at around 360 and the spitfyre is somewhere in the 450 range, so the speed is there.

those really are the outliers in terms of speed and firepower - other m3 ships worth taking a look at would be the fenrir or the susanowa. maybe the cutlass.
If you skip the m3's and just get an m6, I really can't stand the non-springblossom terran m6's (they're either as agile as a brick, fire just empcs, or have some other aspect I find obnoxious) - what you can get/who you have the rank with would probably matter more than any advice I'd have, tho.
