Help needed with researcher boarding Mammoth

Wotcha! Sorry if questions about this exist and I've failed to find them.
In my Steam /CD based X3AP vanilla game I've reached the part of a plot (Breaking Grounds) where a researcher should board my TL docked at Terracorp HQ which has the required free space. I thought it may be a problem due to my level in the Corporation Troubles plot, so I have completed that and have the reward waiting in a seperate TL. The UFJD is functioning and I've tried docking repeatedly and changing ships etc. Please help.

You probably forgot to put Cargo Life Support on the TL (to carry the person). The briefing fails to mention that you need it.
