Goner Plot question

Goner Plot spoilers ahead!!!





OK, last night I did part of the Goner Plot, and I had read the walkthrough. Now, the walkthrough says you'll destroy a pirate base in Gaian Star in the last mission.
Is that pirate base newly spawned because of the Goner Plot (IE plotrelated), or is it the one already in Gaian Star?

It sounds silly, but last night I also hunted the entire X universe for a a pirate base to do a station hack on a Plasma Burst Generator Forge. Guess what? The pirate base in Gaian Star did it.

So now I feel like I owe them one.

If it's a newly spawned base, I don't care and will bomb them to bits, but if it's the one already there, I'd feel guilty.

So, is it THAT pirate base in Gaian Star? Or a new one?
