Use of SQUASH mines

Post by IanFitzJo » Thu, 29. Aug 13, 03:54

If I drop a bunch of these in a Xenon sector will they detonate and damage/destroy any Xenon ship that crashes into them?

Probably, but you'll never know what hit them. Destroyed Xenon will just respawn anyway. I suggest saving your mines for more specific targets.

Using them is part of my plan (along with laser towers along the route and M2 patrols) to keep the trade route open through Xenon-347. I'm planning on mass-producing them in self-sustaining factories, so other than the laborious task of laying them, it's not too much of a hassle.

Using the Hub to bypass the sector entirely might be a cheaper option that shouldn't be overlooked.

Well of course unless you like to see things blow up.

Yes, I love that too.

After all, don't use the Hub.
