Weapons dealer jackpot! X3:AP XRM
The largest amount of property I had ever amassed was in X3:TC on the humble merchant start. I had a Cerberus, a Centaur, and a Dragon. I also had a sloppily-placed weapon/shield complex in argon prime that would kill my ships when they docked. I abandoned this game because of it.
I have played many short games since then. I especially like clawing my way up from an M4, hoping to bail a Mamba or Susanowa. Speed, baby...
With that said, I have never had very good drops from these small battles.
So enters this latest saga. Savage split start, XRM, zooming around with an Asp killing pirates. I earned enough scratch to afford a Boa TM with jumpdrive, sold the old asp, and have a fully equipped Cougar and a Chimera in the hold. Just picked up a Pirate Eclipse too, how nice, a new wingman
New wingman needs some PACs. These have been reliably found at the military outpost in Rhonkar's Fire. Jump in, tell the Boa to dock, and switch to the chimera and tell the cougar to protect me. We check out the sector...
An unescorted Boron Weapons Dealer dolphin is cruising along. A quick scan reveals a full hold which I didn't look at too closely. We let slip the dogs of war!
He was persuaded to dump his freight but wouldn't give up his ship. Fealty to a monarch will cost you in the long run.
The squid dropped 38 PACs, 9 ion pulse generators, 14 Photon Pulse Cannons, and 25 ion cannons. Dat loot! I have never seen a drop like that! The best I've managed before is tied between getting half a dozen 200MJ shields or bailing a ship with jumpdrive intact.
I jumped with the quickness to Family Whi to get an XXL ware transporter from the showroom. Yes, the Caiman Sentinel will do nicely, more shields and turrets than my Boa!
Transfer the Boa's jump drive over and I personally jump back in the Caiman and get all but 10 of the ion cannons. So in my hold are 38 PACs, 9 Ion pulse cannons, 14 PPCs, and 15 Ion Cannons. That is a haul of about 30,000,000 credits from a single squiddly! Praise the queen!
At the helm of my Boa, Caimen in tow, we sing merrily and drink space fuel, selling our Big Dakka on the way to Rhonkar's Might to get the Caiman her own jumpdrive, and whatever else I damn well feel like!
What is the best drop you guys and gals have gotten off a single, non-capital ship?
Cheers,

update: the xrm maintainer speculates that the boron probably picked all that up from a Weapons Dealer in a station barter system, which is an addition in XRM.
I have not observed XRM boost loot in any way, but this weapons dealer is strange for having such a large and diverse array of weapons in his hold, especially without having any escorts. I've reported it as a balance or AI problem to the XRM maintainer. The only 'boost' I've observed in XRM is that goods flow more easily, making the economy function better overall. Most fabs seem to produce goods at least once in a while.
The X games are kind of like RPGs in regard to what is a "good drop": the value of any treasures scales with your status in the game. Having only a discoverer to your name and making a couple mil off dropped missiles propels you to a new stage, much like my find when I already owned a TM and a few M3s. On the other hand, if you are already engaging in large capitals battles, finding a few SSCs is nice but I would imagine it doesn't impact your empire drastically.
