[X2] How to enter docked fighter from capital ship?

Post by Gazer75 » Fri, 6. Sep 13, 23:11

Hi,

Haven't played in a long time, and when I docked with my Teladi Phoenix I obviously pilot that cap ship. How do I then enter my now docked fighter and exit the cap ship?

Hope someone can help me :gruebel:

Thank you

Go to the landed ships menu select the one of your choice then advanced then change ship. you will be launched into space at this point and your cap ship will req orders or it will just sit there.

Things to note:

You can't do this if the cap ship is docked.

Don't do this if there is a station, asteroid, or other large object close abeam, because you and your fighter are going to belch out the side at top speed.

On a related note, if you for some reason are wandering around in your space suit in front of the hanger bay doors do NOT take it into your head to send one of your docked fighters to the trading station on a beer run.

This is not working. I did however find out how.

Just simply open ship menu (S) and pick Change Ship (X) under Actions there. No idea how I missed that one

Make a note of that for the future because that's how you do it in TC.

I assumed he meant in AP but as long as he knows how that is all that counts.

Transporter worked in X2 in a similar way.
Argon Patriot and Battlemaster
Peace - Through Superior Firepower
