As we draw closer to the release date of X Rebirth, would there be a better way to pass the time than looking at shiny new screenshots? I will release a nice screenshot every Monday until we reach our release date.

They kinda look like Spitfyres... just... a bit droopy. Maybe if Spitfyres had a lovechild with a Star Trek shuttle, and got an engine pod job to make them look bigger?

Anyway, I guess this means the publisher restraint on screenies is gone, now.

I still look at these screenshots and can't help but think "these have to be pre-rendered."

If the game engine looks that good in real-time... well then that's amazing.

Those are in game shots, no doubt. X rebirth requires a pretty powerful PC.

Those look like rocket pods. Some kind of bomber class vessel? It also appears to have a cockpit, so I assume it isn't a drone.

Question is, how "real" are these ships/drones? Is this simply a static shot from inside a station to add a little atmosphere or are they REAL objects that will disappear when launched? I really hope the latter, but I'm doubtful - Impress me Egosoft! :)

These do not look like drones at all, they look like REAL M8 bombers from the previous game, can you see those rocket/torpedo/ launch tubes? and what about the most important part? the fact that these ships have cockpits in them and you can tell from the glass black windows in the tip of each ship.
