hello people,
there was a Tyr flying in Terran Unknown Sector I which I wanted to own.
the Aquilo brought it's shields down and the Sirokos supplied the necessary marines.
when the marines were on the third deck I hailed the biggest support ship, an M7.
the response was positive but the ATF ships remained red.
I checked the global standings and ATF should be friendly.
other ATF ships in TUS1 were blue, but not these support ships.
after capping the Tyr I expected the support to destroy it quickly.
they didn't, the support ignored the Tyr but came after me instead.
I flew a Kestrel to the Tyr and gave it a jumpdrive and 40 energycells.
in my game I've connected the HUB to TUS1.
the Tyr could jump to a gate in the HUB sector and from there it would fly further.
the support headed straight for the HUB gate and entered the HUB system.
unfortunately there was an Odin in the HUB which immediately turned red.
this was not great for my ships there and my Terran standings.
during this whole event I contacted the M7 pilot and the Odin captain several times.
I have no idea why they turned red again without anything doing damage to them.
this is not the first ship I capped, but the result was quite different.
hopefully one of you can enlighten me.
thanks in advance.
(X3TC) hostile support when capping a Tyr

Normally, you can contact the red support ships right after your boarding target belongs to you. Deck 3 is a bit too early as the whole boarding process is considered a hostile act; therefore, any ships you hail blue will sooner or later turn red again as long as the boarding process continues. Sometimes they may even stay red on the first hail. In that case, you can simply hail them again and they should become friendly.
I guess the Odin became hostile because some of your ships attacked the former escorts of the Tyr; maybe it was just the aft turret of one of your traders. That would be an attack against a Terran ship and should cause any other Terran military in vicinity to turn red.
I'd say you just try to hail the capitals among the escorts again until you find their leader. If you hail that ship and excuse, all others should turn blue as well.
best regards,
Rhox

thanks for the replies, the issue has been solved.
luckily I had a good savegame, so this time I let everything jump out.
hereby avoiding any unwanted aggression from my side.
the escort ships from the Tyr were still following me.
once they entered the HUB sector the Odin remained blue.
thanks to satellites I could watch their progress.
after some idling they all jumped out and at exactly that point I lost Terran standings.
since I have no flying assets in Terran space I can only assume that the drop was a result of my theft.
