X3 Terran Conflict Pyramed

Post by EgoGimb » Fri, 13. Sep 13, 20:58

Two questions 1 is there a faster way to repair your vehicals without cheating and in vanilla for steam version.

And where is that trading pyramid thing that was talked about in the game manual. wouldn't mind seeing that fully explained

Also what does each type of formation do, is there a diagram of some sort that illistrates the formations tactical use?

As for your first question: In TC (don't know about AP) you can repair ships in your personal HQ - as soon as you got it, which will take a while.

The pyramid merely tells you the higher the production level a ware is the more other resources you need, the more money you need to produce them.

As for the formations I take it you mean how escorts arrange around your vessel. There is not so much tactical use in them, if you ask me - as long as you keep an eye on your sensors.

Faster than what? There are three different ways to repair your ships. The fastest one is usually repairing it at a shipyard.

The trading pyramid is shown and fully explained on the same page in the manual. What information do you think is missing?

I'm not sure what is referred to by the trade pyramid exactly - but I would imagine it would simply be that all factories need energy (the base) most factories need food (the middle), many factories need minerals (the high middle) few factories need other technical wares (the top).

ianrobo's Stats Compendium had a decent trading ware diagram that is the closest I have seen to what you are asking for.

The stats compendium is a great resource for a new (even an experienced) player. Sadly, he has not updated it for X3AP, but much of it is the same.

I prefer to repair ships in a shipyard.
Pay and that is that, they are fixed.

Faster repairs without spending money: jettison SETA, eject from ship, pick up SETA in spacesuit, hold J and Ctrl at the same time. You'll need a spare ship around to give your original ship back its SETA since you can't eject equipment from the spacesuit.

The trade pyramid illustration should be in the manual in which you read about it. Regardless, all it does is illustrate the factory tiers, pretty much: energy > bio > food > tech. In theory the final destination of processed wares is trading and equipment docks but since X3 stations have not owned freighters, so they are rarely stocked.
