From TC to AP to Rebirth.
I have a question.
I have TC installed and I'm currently pottering about in my own little kingdom in the Yaki sectors (they love me).
I have Rebirth on pre-order (mind you who doesn't?)
Question is - is it worth buying AP to play between now and Rebirth?

You will probabaly play AP for some time after Rebirth is released.
It is a very different type of game to Rebirth, even if many facets of the X-series is still there.
Can't say more, or I will be shot.
AP is a decent game now. It is at least as good as TC, if not better.
If both AP/Rebirth were available now ?
I'd still play AP until I have built my new rig.
And yes, I have Rebirth on pre-order

If you can spare the money to buy it why not.
AP isn't much different from TC it got tweaked a little (once you have played AP some things get painful in TC), it got a little less plots, but more ships/stations to buy. If i could only have one and had to decide between TC and AP i would take AP simply because of the more convinient GUI and because i like the AP plot lines more, i mean the TC HUB plot is a hard challenge something modern games often don't have, but it is also tedious and i wouldn't want do it more than one time.

I did it.. I started over on AP. Bit painful but there we go.. now at the boring bit of building up my startup cash.. will have to make friends with the Yaki again) once I have them at my disposal I like to connect the Yaki sectors to presidents end using the hub. that way I have 3 reasonably useful sectors, a private AI defence force to protect them and as I'm the ONLY person supplying the yaki owned stations there I effectively own them as an open loop using CLS2
