he's asking if there will be a box version that will also include this 1.5gb "patch" so he doesn't have to download much when installing the game.
it will still be actives via steam, just with less of a download

just like releases of games that have happened in the past, where all the patches were included, like the release of TC 2.0.

i doubt such a release would happen any time soon thou

It strange. I'm in Ukraine (GMT+2), now is 18:00 and Steam are telling me that game will become available in 2 days and 3 hours. So here release will be made at around GMT 19:00 :(

yes thats what I was asking.

I'm more than happy to use steam for patches etc, I just like having a disk with all content. As said I live in the Countryside with no access to fiber broadband and my line for hefty downloads sometimes suffers, more now since storm season is moving in.

GMT 12:00 CBJ has stated this in another thread.
I saw that post. Thing is, we'll get our game when Steam unlocks it. For CIS it is GMT 19:00. Thats why i posted it. Maybe there's an error in steam app bundle for CIS.

Question about the game release 12:00 GMT/UTC

I live in USA California so that means the game will be available to me at 4 am in the morning ? while its 12:00 noon in Germany if i am correct I get it early ? lol

Steam is still using the originally planned/estimated release time. The new time (noon GMT) is the latest info and means you should get it at 2 pm your local. It will be 0600 my time and 0400 on the US west coast.

It's not earlier in real time, just relative time. Since you get up eight hours later than someone in Germany, it just means the game will be ready in time for your morning coffee. :wink:

It could be somehow connected to Seattle time (Valve HQ in Bellevue, which is Seattle's suburb) - 19:00 GMT is 12:00 PST (or 11:00, it's hard for me to figure due to US' daylight saving time). Maybe Valve opens all Steam releases at 12:00 local (PST) time, but if a developer wants another time, they may freely change that.

I thought you were 8 hrs behind GMT, wouldn't that make it 8PM?

I could be wrong about this, but I thought X Rebirth was released in the US on the 19th? Again, I could be wrong about this, so don't take my word too heavy on this one.

According to Steam. I'm US Central and it's a quarter to 8 PM right now.

So I think it's pretty safe to say that's a false rumor.

It's not a rumour, the initial release date for the us WAS 19th of november.. they managed to change that to worldwide 15th

Ahh ok, I just clicked the link I figured the release time was already in there, thanks for that, I work half days on Fridays anyway, but have after noon appointments, still being able to play at 3 pm sure beats 7pm! you just made my night spitzfire! thanks! :wink:

My favourite memory of the X series was babysitting that TL across half the universe in XTension and finally arriving in Getsu Fune to be gifted the TL! I called her Big Bad Orca...
