It there going to be any new updates for Albion Prelude In the offing, like new story lines or new sectors?

Not sure, at this point; I'd say probably not.

Egosoft is busy updating and fixing their new game X-Rebirth, and the modders are probably going to be busy making mods for that game rather than X3AP.

Once the main updates for XR have been done and problems addressed I would be very surprised if there wasnt an update.
There would be a demand from the people who like the series but cant get away with XR.

I'd like to remind you that AP 3.0 and 3.1 were solely created by the community. Egosoft had done nothing since 2.5. I'm still waiting for the fix of the PALC lag bug.
