x3 reunion compatible with steam x3tc?

i have x3 game of the year edition with balagi:s research mission is it possible to get this dvd to work with the steam version or if i want to play all ad ons on the game need to get the steam version of the game also?

X3TC is a separate game. Even if you could register X3R on Steam (which you can't) that wouldn't have any bearing on your ability to buy and install X3TC.
