Updated to 1.1 added new notifications for when a player ship or station is destroyed and tweaked the attacked notification slightly.

I have a problem with endless notifications: I shoot at my ship once but notifications appear every 5 seconds and never stop to display.

Could this be due to fact that I use another language (#07 - russian)?
P.S. File "0001-L044.xml" was copied to "0001-L007.xml".

P.P.S. Language checked: it doesn't matter (I switch to english but problem still exist).

1.3 out, some fixes to repeated notifications and out of sector warnings and some updates to the notification format.

Most likely the last version as a focus needs to be made of defensive scripts and out of sector combat scripts that are causing issues with the way this has to be implemented.

Does this still work or is this mod dead?

I have asked the Devs to consider adding this functionality to game.

However, having found this, I am wondering if someone can resurrect, test and make available to the community in a state compatible with v3.0+

Many Thanks

Since this is a hot subject atm, may I bump it :-)

I would do it myself if I knew how :-(

It may appear to work, but it embeds the additional warning code in AI scripts from a very early release of the game... and hence will be out of date and will not include any official improvements that are in that AI script.

In any case this functionality has now been added officially to the game in 3.0.

What sort of functionality was added? Have i missed a setting?
The Ship X was destroyed in sector X logbook entry is hardly helping with anything and i m looking for an updated mod like this to simulate the X3 log.

This mod is pretty great I think, but it has been called "the most annoying mod in the world".

Drones re-docking with their parent ships are giving destroyed notifications, including if you leave a zone where drones are deployed, you just get spammed with ship destroyed messages making your radar unusable.

I wish the mod author would come back and stop either drone docking or even drone destruction from giving a warning
