Scanning Asteroids then suidice
So finally found, as didn't know it existed, the Scan Asteroids command as found the Exploration Software.
I saved and then tested it out in the sector I was in with my discovery. It was going all nice, perfect. Then once it finished it wondered off, I thought it was finding other asteroids in the area that it could see but I couldn't. No, I just watched it slam itself into the Stock Exchange.
Is that going to always happen or a one off bug?
New to X series. Got mega burnt with the crap Rebirth but bought X3 after cause it looked miles better.

after the ship is done scanning all known asteroids in the sector it'll try to dock.
this is normal.
personally I do this remotely with another M5.
I've never done it with the ship I flew myself.
I think the feature is created so you don't have to fly to all the roids yourself.
the autopilot function for your personal ship can be very dangerous for your health.
small and fast ships do have a habit of crashing unfortunately.
the autopilot is NOT your friend.

...it's probably a bad idea to trust the autopilot.
