Is the Omicron Mission the last ?

I have just completed the Omicron mission, and couldn't believe this was the end of the scripted game. They bang on about the need for factories money etc, I thought I would have to build a fleet to invade Khaak space and the like.

Am I missing some thing or do I have to make up my own objectives from here. I am sure this has been asked before, and if so i apologise for repetition.

Yes, that's the end of the plot as it stands.
