Hi there,
just posted my problem some days ago in the german section, but I got no feedback. So, I'll try my luck here.
Symptoms:
When ingame the mouse movement is very slow (~ 50% of desktop movement). It's no lag just a very slow movement. VSync is forced via NVidia CP, tried DD3DOverrider with forced VSync and Tripple Buffering but it changed nothing.
My Sys / Config:
- 1080p, 60 Hz TFT
- Core i7 2600k @ stock
- GTX 480 AMP, 1.5 GB
- 16 GB RAM
- Win7 64 bit, Home Premium
- Steam-Version
- Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical USB
- NVidia drivers up to date, R331
- Win7 up to date
What I tried without improvement:
- Forced VSync via D3DOverrider + Tripple Buffering
- Limited FPS @ 58
- Without VSync X3TC runs @120+fps, but mouse is still slow
- Changed mouse settings in windows: sensitivity, acceleration, shadow
- Un-installed MS mouse driver
- Windowed mode
- AA disabled
- Run as Admin
- Compatibility mode: XP, 2000
Any hints, tipps or suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the Windows settings make no obvious difference in-game. In the past, the only successes I an aware of in varying the sensitivity/speed of the mouse were if you had a mouse driver that allows you to adjust such things in the mouse control panel rather than in the OS or game settings.
Put 'mouse speed' into the exact wording box of this search: http://www.google.co.uk/advanced_search ... gosoft.com
I hope something there helps.

Thanks for your feedack Alan Phipps,
last chance I see is to reduce the number of pre-rendered frames, as the mouse pointer ingame is a software sprite. I'll try that and thanks for your help
When lowering the resolution the mouse movement is better, because the pointer has to travel a shorter distance, but then the whole game looks shabby.
Is it possible to MOD the mouse pointer stuff or is there a hard-coded movement factor in-game?

Any mouse lag I previously had completely vanished after upgrading my processor and graphics card. Even with seta at 1000% it's smooth as butter. Of course since it's not a hardware accelerated mouse cursor, changing graphics card does absolutely nothing to smooth things out.
Old CPU: Athlon II X4 640
New CPU: FX 8320 < no lag
