Map ship command to key

Post by kinetic915 » Thu, 19. Dec 13, 22:18

Hello all,

Is it possible to map a ship command to a key? ie select ship and tell it to jump to a pre determined sector?

I know there is the hotkey manager but I can't seem to find it after I installed it. Is it in the script editor?

Thanks!

The hotkey manager is a tool for script programmers. It will not help you to do what you want.

Some people have had some success using AutoHotkey (or a keyboard macro program) to automate keystrokes.

The most reliable method is to write your own, custom, hotkey script to do the job. It requires some light scripting. If you are somewhat technically-inclined, the MSCI Programmer's Handbook is a remarkably clearly-written manual on the subject.
