can you get PALC from laser towers?
I think I read somewhere that you can get PALC's from laser towers as they are setting up?
Or was I mistaken?
how is this done?

AIUI & IIRC...
1) buy some LTs
2) drop them somewhere (probably 1 at a time is best).
3) destroy them before the construction timer reaches zero.
IIRC, in TC you also have the exploit/option of using a freight drone to transfer the weapon off the incomplete tower, then collecting the LT before it completes, so you can repeat the process (the tower gets a new weapon each time).

It's Plasma Beam Cannons that you get from Lasertowers. You can equip them on a few M7 side turrets, like the Cerberus and Carrack.
In AP you can use a Freight Drone to collect the PBC from a Lasertower before it finishes its countdown.
Then you can pick up the Lasertower and repeat the process if you feel like being exploity.
Note: while PBCs have quite impressive stats (imagine a Point Singularity Projector as a hitscan laser beam), the AI is absolutely garbage at using them. I'd already read that before but I just couldn't believe it until I saw it in action for myself. It's such a shame.
