X-BtF update 2.2 won't work - Fixed by correct patching

My main computer got fried and I am using a 1GB laptop with 128Mb integrated graphics now. Reinstalled old favourite X-BtF, upgraded to 2.2 using patches from this site, but doesn't work. Was fine until installed the 2.2 patch now on launch says "file missing" and goes no further. Am using WinXP SP3

Help would be greatly appreciated.

The notes for XBtF patch 2.2 say "This is an update for version 1.9x or newer only."

Did you install the 1.96 patch before the 2.2 one?

Yes I did, but after careful checking I realised that the 1.96 patch had installed in a folder called "1.96.eng" instead or in the main X-BtF folder, when I moved it to there it all worked fine.
