[X3AP] Most beautiful sector to set up base, hq, factories, complexes and etc
I read a few threads on this subject but they were quite old.
Despite subjective, which sector would you consider to be the most beautiful sector to set up shop in ? No need for screenshots btw, just names are enough.

edit : For the convenience of those who may read this thread in future, here are the recommendations from the thread, not in any particular order :
Heaven's Assertion
Kingdom End
CEO's Wellspring
Spires of Elusion
UFJD sectors
AP player sector (plot reward)
Moon/Earth
Twisted Skies
Unknown Sector next to Mists of Elysium
Avarice
Two worlds
Albion Gamma

I don't bother with pretty for sectors that I set up complexes in since I don't want to spend time in those sectors!
Low FPS, collisions..... best to not visit those complexes much.
Last night, I jump into my complex sector to set up a new station, and bang a NPC M5 just slammed into my complex and died immediately.

I wouldn't build there due to its proximity to Duke's pirates, but IMO the prettiest sector is Heaven's Assertion.
Other than that the nicest looking ones I've found are... UFJD sectors. >.<
Kingdom End looks nice and has that gorgeous music...
Your sector in the Breaking Grounds plot looks nice too from what I've seen. Haven't done the plot yet.

I have always liked the looks of CEO's Wellspring. It is pretty and quiet, with just enough asteroids to make a nice home. Plus the asteroids are far from the gate, so that they do not impede traffic.

Kingdom End is really nice. Earth sector has nice music but the Torus 'laws' are too extreme, especially the border madness.

You should ask for the ugliest sector instead, because once you set up factories and complexes you'll want to stay out of the sector, because:
- All the TS transports servicing the factories will slow down and try to dock via the approach vector because physics and collisions are on when you're around to observe.
- Your frame rate will slow to a crawl because of all the complex tubing and factory models, which means you won't be able to enjoy the beauty much anyway.

PTNI, like Erqco mentioned, is a safe and central sector.
in X3;Reunion I built it in Treasure Chest, but I wouldn't recommend it for AP. (war sector)
in TC I had my HQ in Interworlds, which was very nice aswell.
the most beautiful sector in my opinion is Heaven's Assertion.
I find the light and background breathtaking.
unfortunately it's not very central.

UFJD sectors.... full nebula view is awesome and there are some other really nice ones.
Kingdom End is spectacular + music.
AP player sector.
The Moon/Earth... feeling they give is great.
But I really wouldn't build complexes in those. As people said you build those in the ugliest most remote places and never go back due to laggines and so on.

I second that, assuming that it's the same in AP as in TC. The view of the earth-like planet very close by literally took my breath away when I first entered it! The two "moons" above look really nice too. I got it just recently, and I droped my HQ there. Not sure yet if situation wise it is the best choice for a home sector, but it had to be there...! And after all the plot IS called "a new home"...Sinxar wrote:My favorite is Spires of Elusion (sp) for the PHQ. The view of the planet below is spectacular. But ofc in AP it is NPC owned and in sorta a bad location if you decide to connect it with the hub gates (may trigger xenon migrations).
Heaven's Assertion is nice, except for all the Three-Eyes, that is.pjknibbs wrote:I don't think there's anywhere in AP that matches the chilly beauty of the X2 version of Akeela's Beacon. In fact, I can't really think of any X3 sector which I'd describe as "beautiful"; closest to it is Kingdom End, I think, with the planet close by and those elaborate Boron stations.
Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.
