Well, I'm thinking of building some factories in Omicron Lyrae, but there are 2 xenon sectors near there. So I want to clean these two sectors first.

After cleaning the "Xenon sector 347," I went to the "Xenon sector 472" and saw a shipyard there. I entered the details of the shipyard and saw the list of ships of xenons and some credits on the side.

So I can somehow buy these ships or is this just for demonstrate their value?

I liked my time time in X2.

Xenon ships cannot be purchased. Xenon ships can be captured. The fighters will bail, and leave the ships empty. It was random, when I played, but the more fighter combat one get involved in, the more chances of capturing Xenon fighters.

M1 and M2 ships can also be captured?

Xenon M2's, i.e., 'K's', can be captured in one very specific mission type but not under any other circumstances. That's the only time you can capture a capital ship larger than an M6** in X2.

**There's also a specific type of mission where you have the possibility of capturing M6's.

Notice though that when Xenon fleets take losses, their Shipyard will send replacements. In other words, for every ship that is missing from 347, replacements will try to cross Omikron Lyrae. Killing ships in 347 is actually the worst threat to your settlement.

Your intention was good ...


Destroying the Shipyard will stop the replacement program, until th SY inevitably respawns. At same moment all the missing Xenon will spawn next to the SY.

Not necessarily. Location does make a difference.

The Xenon will beeline from 472 to 347. They will damage only the ships that attack them. OOS, that is.

In sector, turrets are free to shoot everything in range and combat is a roaming furball.


In other words: your presence is the greatest threat to everyone.
