[X3AP] Question about Poisoned Paranid reward
Hi,
So I've just spent all day (from about 9am this morning until now 9.15pm) completing first the Tormented Teladi start so as to open the Poisoned Paranid start, then completing the poisoned paranid quest.
I flew all the way back to Queen's Harbour only to find I could not dock, despite being told by the Boron doctor to dock. I figured my rep was neutral 0% so I went off and found a quick defend station mission. Completed. I can now dock.
I excitedly docked and paid the thief his 25 million for my cold remedy amd my brand spanking new STOCK Hyperion appears.
WHAT???????? The whole point of doing this was to get the much talked about 'special' version of the Hyperion which goes over 200 m/s.
I double checked, and it is already max at 169 m/s and cannot be upgraded further.
Does anyone have an explanation for this?

hehehehe.
I know what you mean. The missus asked what was wrong with me as I was slouched in my chair with glazed eyes and drool running out of one corner of my mouth as I pressed:
C, 4, 1, 1, R, Enter, Enter, Page Down, Shift+L, Enter, Enter for the 257th time.
Still, that key combo gets the whole hand mission in/check speed in about 5 seconds. It's the loading time that kills me.
216 is the best I've had yet. Will give it another 50 reloads then go looking for crates.
I've read that there's a script you can run to find the crates, write down the locations, then exit and reload. But I'm worried that it will still be 'modified'. I want to play Vanilla, so guess I'm gonna be trawling Pirate sectors in my Kestral til I can find some of these crates, then jump my Hyperion in and do quick runs to get the crates.

Thanks ancient.
So I would load up the game, run the SE then select the findwares script and run it. Then save and quit the game. Remove the Findwares script from the folder on C drive and reload the game?
Does that sound about right?
Reason is I've spent an hour searching way above, below and also on the ecliptic in 3 pirate sectors (out to 85km) and found diddly squat.
