X3AP: why is CAG sometimes blanking out the homebase field ?

I noticed that sometimes as soon as I start CAG for any given ships, it sometimes (5% of times) whipes out the homebase field.

I tried severla things but when it happens for one specific ship it works later on but I can never remember how I fixed it (think its when I assigned a new pilot).

I did it also when I am seting up the merchandise list (not the black market one, dont know how to say it). As soon as I wanted to assign a product to that list, it gave a resulted NULL in the list and that meant again, the homebase was whiped out. It does not happen often. But when it does, it becomes a pain in the you know what.

1) Why is it doing this ?
2) How can I fix/workaround it ?
3) Is this a bug and if yes, why isn't there a permanent fix for it ?

After setting the homebase, leave the command menu. Go back into the command menu and start your CAG. This works for CLS1 also. Just one of the minor inconveniences of the game.
