This is doing my head in.
I'm using voice control (Dragon) tied with AutoHotkey and I'm trying to run audio in the background.
I used to use CHP to run MPlay32.exe hidden..
- I would say into my headset "Crosshair target"
- This would then launch an Autrohotkey script to "press t"
- Then play a .WAV file WITHOUT WINDOW OR INTERFACE to say "affirmative"
I did the same for loads of programs and games to confirm my voice commands but I cant get MPlay.exe or Mplayer. I guess they're obsolete now.
I've tried to use VLC and Windows Media Player but I just cant get them to play an audio file without them switching to desktop and launching a separate interface.
My old scripts and CHP don't seem to work at all and the command-line options for VLC all appear to be internet related and are indecipherable to me.
I just need a simple solution that will play audio from a command line, then exit.
e.g.
I say "Autopilot" into the headset and it runs an autohotkey script :-
Send, {u},
Run, C:\X3Sounds\BlueDanube.(wav or MP3...)
Exit
X3TC - Voice control using AutoHotKey Scripts - Dragon, CHP & VLC - Run Hid- SOLVED

The problem was spaces in the filename.
