[X3:AP] Mission: Impossible!
According to the game clock, I've been playing for over 25 days. Then, I fly over to this mission being offered and what do I find?
"Xtreme Tour of a Lifetime"
"All 11 Xenon Sectors"
"Difficulty: Impossible"
"Reward: 12.97 million, no bonus"
I didn't even know this rating existed before!
No, I declined it. It'd cost more than the 13 million offered to survive the mission.

Sounds like a fun challenge to me. I'd get the fastest TP available, a Turbo Booster, use the Mosquito Missile Defense (both from the Official Bonus Pack), load up on energy cells and mosquito missiles**, and go for it. I could outrun all but the fastest missiles, and MDM would take care of those.
Not sure why you think it'd take 13 million credits to complete.
**I'd have a support ship ready with extra energy cells and missiles, as needed. Perhaps I could even find a number of spacefiles to augment the energy cells for the TB, since they take up far less space for the same boost.

Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.

That is indeed a "Tour of a Lifetime". Adrenaline junkies paying like they mean it for a chance to drop pants and show their ass though a window to xenon.
I'd actually do that mission just for amusement sake. Generally not a huge fan of passenger missions.

Impossible, much like its easy counterpart Trivial, is a difficulty rating that very rarely shows up.
That sounds like fun... might look out for it. I expect it's reasonably possible in a properly-equipped Iguana Vanguard... or just a sector-clearing M7M escort, heh, but I suppose that's cheating the spirit of the mission. A little depressing to realise the Xenon only have 11 sectors though; I wish they were as fleshed-out and expansive as the other races, or at least had more holdouts like Sector 101.

Playing a pacifist game (staying at 0% harmless at all costs, no weapons/missiles on my ship, no escorts, you get the picture) i found that mission... challenging but doable. Certainly not for the faint of heart
You need the faster TP you can get your hands on to avoid anything other than M5's, quick reactions on mission objectives and lots and lots of luck. Oh, and the whole xenon sector map explored so you can jump between gates to draw unnecessary attention away. Certain sectors are a nightmare to navigate into (like taking a look at the shipyard in 101
Keep in mind the timer is a bit tight for that mission. You can try fighting, but I fear you won't make it in time. All in all, it's only worth doing this once for the thrill of the hunt (you being the hunted), not for the cash. Oh, and make sure you don't need to manage stuff during the mission, you need to be focused.
Good luck!

The Ocelot is only better than an M3 if you are planning on not trying to turn and dogfight, are happy only using ammo based weapons, and only use missiles for MDM and anti M5 fire. Of course by the time you equip the Ocelot for combat, toss in some jump fuel and quite possibly toss in some marines since you feel like you can handle combat so why not boarding too, you have limited hold for carrying a large number of passengers.
While the Ocelot may be a TP that is best equipped for limited combat, saying it's better than most M3s is a stretch.
