I've just reinstalled x3 reunion on my laptop, but can't remember what mods I was running. I've tried searching to forum but ended up getting more and more lost!
I had the original terren conflict that acivated the earth gate/ terran sectors. I also want the Hyperion mission (to get the ship).
Any other mods I should install?

yea its very confusing to me too.
what i found out is that there are a few "major" mods
and few small ones and lots of mods wich are not realy worth
to use seperatly cause the incompability makes u work more
on get the mod running than playing the game.
not sure if those are for tc too but
XTM (extended mod) is very popular,
i read about a DDRS or DDR mod wich was named a few times
and the BSG (Battlestar Galaktica MOD) may be intresting too.
for my x3-reunion i use xtm075 together with improved Khaak 1.1
and want to get PiratesGuild into that aswell.
i didnt tested improoved khaak (only few ingame hours) yet neither Pirates guild. but the game starts and the changes u can see at start seem to work fine.
this combination should to create a universe
wich goes farer than majorly exploring the x3.
i although implemented advanced thrustercontrol
(gives u ability to fly in a other direction than u look, works)
i although changed the gamebalancing by pushing shilds and
shild-reactor powers (together with most cargospaces and
at a few ships speed) from m6class up to m1 ( 2-3 times more shildcapacity ) and shieldreactorpowers incresed ~3-4 times.
that makes an m6 (wich looks 20-30 times bigger than an m3 much more usefull. it although makes an m1 or m2 nearly invulnerable to a single m3
wich makes sense in my eyes.
anyway its up to you what u want to play
