Using an unmanned ship for missions ? (solved)

Post by musigreg » Mon, 22. Dec 14, 11:23

Hi,

i really hope this question hasn't been asked a million times, but I can't seem to find the answer.

Here it is : Can I use the auto-pilot of one of my ships to do, say... A person transport mission or do I have to pilot the ship doing the transport?
If so, is there something else I can do ?

Thanks in advance.

I just tried it. I haven't had any opportunity to do so, before...
Well I can tell you : You cannot use the auto-pilot of a ship to do missions.
You have to pilot it yourself.

Let's hope htis'll help others that was asking themselves the same question.

you have to be piloting the ship when the passenger comes onboard.
you also have to be onboard to complete the mission.
however, once you undock with your passenger you can leave the ship.
in the time that your TP goes from A to B you can do other things.
when it's docked at it's destination you can dock there aswell and change ship to complete the mission.

if they ask for a new ship in missions you can use autopilot.
return-ship-missions can be done with autopilot aswell.

@ musigreg: As a general point, please don't ask the same question on multiple forums. Thanks.

Well, I thought it wouldn't hurt asking in french and in english 'cos I'd get more answers that way, but OK, it won't happen again.
