[X3:TC] Can't Continue Story Line
Hello! I am very new to the X universe and I've already have run into a problem. I took on a mission which required me to destroy some transports in order to gain some credits. I didn't know however, that they were Terran transports, and now I have enough bad reputation with the Terrans that they will attack me on sight. Now I can't continue the story, or, it is very difficult to. Is there some fast way I can improve relations?
Hello! And welcome to the X universe, pilot.
It'd be good to know how far you've progressed in the plots/stories already
(or more specifically, on which mission you're right now). I'd like to know
your current Terran rank as well.
as well. Your first goal should be to reach one of the orange ranks, as they
allow you to land on border stations. Depending on which of the red ranks you
have right now, it will get more or less difficult to reach that goal.
In general, there are always various ways to improve reputation with a race;
it's just a little bit more difficult for the Terrans.

- Trade with them. With their aggressive behaviour towards you,
it seems they won't even let you land in the border sectors. However, you can
build factories close to theirs and produce the ressources they need. If the
price of the product is low enough, their ships will buy from you sooner or
later.
If you have the Bonus Package installed and got some money already, you can
build a trading station and add Terran ressources with the Dockware Manager.
Give it some money, set the prices skyhigh and the selling begins. Not a very
cheep solution, but give it some time and it works. - Shoot the damn pirates/Xenon. They are quite rare in Terran space,
but if you see them, you should kill them on sight. That goes for both Xenon
and pirate ships. If your fight rank is low, even the destruction of some small
ships of them could catapult your rank back to the top.
IIRC one or two pirate bases spawn in Terran space every now and then.
You could park there and wait for your prey. - Do missions for them. That's not an option yet but as soon as you
reach one of the orange ranks, the missions on stations will show up again.
These are the fastest way to boost your reputation and earn some money along
the way.
There are also some rare missions outside of Terran space where a
Terran fighter flies around in Commonwealth space and offers Fight missions.
I don't know if you can do them with a low rank though.

Trade with the Terrans remotely, if you still can
Also you should find Terran ships with missions in other races space, do those missions until you can start doing mission in Terran space again.
Mission running and reputation is a balancing act, which generally given time can be repaired
The only reputation I've had real fun with is Dukes & Yaki, as everyone else seems to kill any ship with missions before I get to them

Bring back the TS Pirate Ship, I miss my liberated fleet runing around the universe
Maybe a fleet of liberated Pirate Ship Super Freighters
"Priests Dukes Compliments... Here is ship!"
"Teladi now show you how to fight... Ship all yours! Dont kill Teladi!"

Try hunting pirates in Heretics End. I believe it's considered Terran owned, but that it's still Argon enough you shouldn't get killed just for being there.
Alternately, keep an eye out for Terran ships offering missions in Commonwealth space. They're rare but they will offer it even if you're an enemy. Do not target them with your ship however. Open the comms menu using the sector map, other wise they'll instantly jump out of the sector when you target them.

Yeah, Heretics End is the place to go to up your terran ranking. Just do defend station missions for the Argon - guaranteed Pirate spawns, well paid and in even with higher fighting rank still easy enough.
