Quite a few things should "show up" in the Xenon Graveyard sector.

Hull plating to repair your ship.
Weapons and shields to equip your ship.
Advanced Satellites to expand your search radius.
Missiles to help you deal with the Xenons.

And Detector will help you to find things that are hidden from scanners. Read the encyclopedia entry for more information about the Detector Scanner Upgrade (which is already installed in your prototype ship).

There are several jumpdrive components. Each time you find one, it spawns a wave of Xenons (and more crates of wares). Each wave has larger ships than the previous wave.

Offhand, I forget whether you need to use Detector to find the jumpdrive component or whether an advanced satellite will do the trick.

Either way, finding the jd components should not be the difficult part of that mission. ;) Focus on collecting wares, upgrading your ship, and fighting off the smaller Xenons that you cannot outrun. The JD Components will become more obvious as you collect the other wares.
  • (and definitely use Detector. Some of the better rewards can only be found with Detector, if I recall correctly.)

well,I have my Aran and boreas with me,so did not care about the general wares much..finally I use "find ware script" (save&load) to find the JD components..I guess my detector does not work at all ,because even when I was 100m away from the JD component,no "ping" from my headset

I'd suggest finding hull plating and shields first, then drones then satellites. Then make sure you got all the tunning crates. Since all the tunings are removed from achinonix when you start that mission(unless you went with different ship). Another amusing tactic I used on my first attempt was to get out of the ship and do some good ol' emergency repairs yourself.

I did that mission twice... once I was not prepared and got overrun while being greedy. Second time I collected everything but I knew how to go about it... but... second attempt I spent like 20 minutes looking for first component.

lol... you exploited your way into trouble, tikael2012.

Good. ;)

@hisazul: Another way to prioritize is:
Spoiler
Show
Collect Hammers as soon as you can.

One Hammer per fighter; two per M6. Thins out the attackers very quickly.

I was lucky to solve this, but I still wonder have you ever been reported the same problem/bugs about the detector does not work.I heard that if you are using Chinese version(language) then this could happen, but I'm on the English version.and in order to fix this,I even tired German, does not help.

Did you fly the Acinonyx Prototype during the mission? That is the ship that has the Detector Scanner Upgrade installed.

Otherwise, I have not seen any reports of Detector not working correctly during the Xenon Graveyard mission. It works for everyone who has reported.

Sure, I will look at your saved game if you upload it.

Oh, one more tip about the satellites: You should drop a satellite after each wave begins. Three satellites should be sufficient, but the timing does matter some.

How about a saved game *before* you exploited your way into trouble?

It is already too late to play the mission correctly in the save that you uploaded.

this is the very beginning of this mission. I gotta sleep, too late.

Thank you for the testing.please inform me as soon as you get something.

The reason that Detector did not work for you is because your Acinonyx does not have the Detector ware installed.

You do, however, have two wares that I do not recognize.

Are you playing a modified game?

nope,I have vanilla game,as you can check if there is "modified" in my personal status...

then,if the detector is not installed ,how can I fix this?

what are the "two wares you do not recognize"?

SS_WARE_SW_NEW6
SS_WARE_SW_NEW7

They have no other names in a vanilla game, so I find them puzzling.

Detector is SS_WARE_SW_NEW11, although you will not see that ID in a correctly-installed vanilla game.

AL right...puzzling,too..that is weird..but I do have the detector in the encyclopedia, which means at least I "SAW IT" in the game...

anyway,I've finished this step
