UFJD damaging ship extentions?

Hi,

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but when I use the unfocussed jump drive it frequently breaks either the triplex scanner or the freight scanner etc.

Is this normal?

Also will sending a fast m5 with triplex scanners installed to map the generated sector reveal engine tuning etc?

I sit in the Hype and send it out to a range of 160 normally but so far have never found anything apart from e-cells.

Yes, using UFJD can damage some components.

I think that pandora crates are only visible if you drop an advanced satellite nearby. Not sure if that's true. Not sure if it applies to the random crates located in UFJD sectors.

The engine tuning crates (and PALC's) can be found with a normal scanner but you do need an advanced satellite to find the rudder optimisations

I'm not high enough fight rank for PALCS yet - only at warrior. :oops:

How close does the advanced sat need to be - would dropping it in the center of the sector work? :?

As the FAQ alludes to, in X3AP (not X3TC) you can sometimes (rarely) find PALCs as floating crates in UFJD sectors so fight rank doesn't come into that aspect of getting them.

The only PALCs I managed to get in UFJD sectors were loaded aboard Xenon Qs. They didn't stay there for long :twisted:
