Mass Drivers???

I have a Nova and Centaur, both can use mass drivers and was wondering are they really worth considering. From the stats they don't look very impressive, but if anyone have experience with them, I'd glad to hear it.

How do you see the stats on Lasers and Missiles ?, speed damage etc, i thought pressing "I" would do it like on ships, but only info is from that posh bird who wabbles crap in me ear
