Lost Lar start does not trigger AP plot

I have started a Lost Lar start, and now has ranks:

Argon: Argon hero of the Fed
Paranid: Priest COnfidente
Terran: Terran Renegade
Boron: Knight of the Kingdom

But no message to start the plot.

(Trade rank is Master Economist, have several stations)
Combat rank is Professional

What gives?

Ah Thanks, it's been a long time since I played AP.

Actually, activation of the plot seems to require the player to save, and reload the game to trigger the plot mission.
