[X3TC] Increasing complex resource capacity

Post by Deathgeese » Sun, 1. Nov 15, 13:31

I'm trying to build a complex that can store an extremely large amount of silicon. I'd like to know what factors determine the max quantity of a resource a complex can stock. I've been googling around, but I can't find anything. I would think that having more silicon mines would increase this amount, but I remember it not being that simple (getting back into the game after being away for a while).

It is that simple. Just keep adding Silicon L sized mines (even very low silicon asteroid values are useful for this if you don't want much more silicon production or energy usage). You can even switch the added mines' production off if you want (that may be just in X3AP though). Each Silicon Mine L added increases your complex's storage of Silicon and Energy Cells significantly for a very reasonable outlay.

Iirc you can also increase that by adding fabs that use silicon as resource.
Just in case you are low on roids - mines cost much less then high tech or crystal fabs.

Silicon mines can be built on ore asteroids. Great way to ensure it's just for storage.

Yes, you can turn factories off in TC.
