[TC]How to check your boarding party status?
Like, who is alive and who isn't, etc? Or do you just "infer" from their dialogues?
I have a team of specialists, with everybody have ~3 stars in fighting and 2 people have 5 in each of the skills, but some point through boarding a M6 the boarding operation will always fail, I guess at that point my party pretty much have 1 marine left or something.
BTW, I just got a return ship mission featuring a Ares, my bank account is like 9m right now, should I just sell it?

On your property menu there is a section for "personnel" that lists your marines.

Ares
Don't Sell the Ares! Boarding with a M7M and Boarding Pods is much more successful than TP boarding.
The Cobra is probably the best overall M7M overall, but any of them is better than none.
Your boarding will be much more successful with high value marines. I get mine to 4 x 100 as soon as I can. If you use a lot of medium value marines, you can do okay.
You can steal the Ares a number of ways. One way is to get it to the Shipyard in Senator's Badlands. The Yaki will kill the pursuing police and then it's yours!
You can do a nice trick with M7s on Return Missions, though you might want to just steal this one. The trick is this. You return the M7 to the station. It's too big to dock, so you return it 1 or 2 km away. Then you board it and steal it. The police come fast this time though.
You can use Return ship missions for M6 and M7 as training opportunities for your marines. Instead of claiming it, board it. Your marines get training experience that way.
Good Luck.

@ Bill: It is also possible to combine your last two hints on "lost M7M":
First you board the lost ship with your Marines. Transfer them back to your Boarding ship.
Second: let the new M7M jump to its destination-station, follow it closely.
Third: wait for the destination-station to take control. SAVE.
Fourth: board the ship again
This Boarding is critical as time might run out. It is therefore important to start boarding immediately.
As a result you get a new M7M and your Marines had TWO EASY training opportunities.

Re: Ares
Did exactly that. One octopus raider even caught up with that 40% hull Ares half way toward the Yaki shipyard, lol, too bad it got instantly vaporized by Yaki.Bill Huntington wrote:You can steal the Ares a number of ways. Now I have an Ares. 5 mins later I got another return ship mission, this time it's a kraken. Now I have two M7M, selling the kraken I guess.
Woah didn't think of that, I thought ships would just vaporized once you turn them in. Just did my first boarding on a heavy hydra, from a stolen ship mission. 90% of my reloads were led by headbutting my target.zazie wrote:As a result you get a new M7M and your Marines had TWO EASY training opportunities.

If you can correctly guesstimate where they're going to grab it, you can have your boarding ship in position to get marines in place quickly. That makes life easier on you.
