Missile Factorys
Anyone know where to get Spectre Missile Fab..got a Poltergiest Fab no probs. Been in all Terran Sectors. My only source of Missiles was a Factory in Aldren. It seems as the the God Syndrome has hit as the only Fab supplying these Missiles has gone.

If AP - then you can buy it at Saturn, The Moon, Mars and Megnir.
Maverick: Requesting permission for flyby.
Air Boss Johnson: That's a negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.
Goose: No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.
Maverick: Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz a Split.
Split: Split now give you .... Aaaarrriiiigh.

The Wiki says you can't buy a factory:
I don't know how relevant is the information regarding the last patch of TC.
http://x3wiki.com/index.php/Spectre_MissileExceptionally difficult to source, as the factories can never be bought.

You could try ensuring the previous factory site sectors are well supplied with the necessary resources using player-owned stations with trade ships, using local ST/LTs, and by buying up such missile stocks as you can find for sale in nearby supply facilities. That might trigger the GoD engine into more readily replacing one or more of the desired missile factories.
Effectively that would be taking action similar to a Terran Economy revitalisation project but is a very long-term undertaking and with no quick results. It may be challenging and enjoyable in gameplay and satisfaction terms though.

Yes, in my vanilla X3TC mature game I currently have Spectre Missile Manufacturing Facility Alpha making them in the Uranus sector, and Aldrin Weapon Production Base M Alpha making them in Aldrin.
These are either there from initial game generation or added by the GoD engine. I don't know if I have lost any other Spectre production facilities along the way.

An inconvenience, an oversight, maybe a balance measure if they then thought Spectres too powerful if used without limits, or perhaps a bug. I am not sure. It is an indicator though that you can buy the stations in X3AP.
Without going the modding route, GoD is your best bet now.

I just assume: if you take a Skirnir and destroy with it many Terran stations (the Skirnir needs to leave the sector when its Shadow missiles are flying - so you don't loose recognition) - this may provoke Mobile Mining Base-ships to start rebuilding of the stations, and one of them may carry a Spectre Factory. As soon as you cap this TL, very quickly change its orders until it stops and becomes fully manageable.

You probably can't. I've seen several of those TLs and you can't board them.UnknownObject wrote:I just assume: if you take a Skirnir and destroy with it a lot of Terran stations (the Skirnir needs to leave the sector when its Shadow missiles are flying - so you don't loose recognition) - this may provoke Mobile Mining Base-ships to start rebuilding of the stations, and one of them may carry a Spectre Factory. Wait, are you referring to those TL piloted by unknown object, which you can't board can't aggro and just have to blow them up?UnknownObject wrote: I have boarded many these ships and have got some Terran and Aldrin stations.

I've done it to get Incendiary Bomb Launcher Forges. Mostly what it takes it patience. What you want is to watch the MMBS that hang around shipyards. Those will be the ones that get the order, and that can be boarded.

These are Mammoths that don't carry stations, and I spoke of Mobile Mining Base-ships that are in Terran sectors.fireanddream wrote:Wait, are you referring to those TL piloted by unknown object, which you can't board can't aggro and just have to blow them up?
If you succeeded, you are lucky. Can you tell details of what have you done to get an IBL Forge? What ship transports them? And how much time it all takes?Triaxx2 wrote:I've done it to get Incendiary Bomb Launcher Forges.
The one I got the forge from was the Yaki Ryu that hangs around in Senator's Badlands.
Didn't give it to me the first time I capped it. Had to reload a couple times.
