If I save while missiles are flying, after reloading they fail to hit anything. They'll dance around their targets as if targeting their shadow, mosquitoes won't hit a thing, boarding pods will graze, and non-swarm missiles will turn useless.
So how did this happen and how, if possible, do I avoid this?
Also my stupid m7m won't fire all its marines, I had 20 marines, enough boarding pods, and used the piracy command remotely but the ship will fire 16-18 marines but not all of them.

yeah... when a game is loaded with an enemy missele lanched, your weapons also hit anything but misseles.fireanddream wrote:If I save while missiles are flying, after reloading they fail to hit anything.
Is this X3TC? With regard to the piracy command I had exactly the same thing happen piloting my M7M, not all of the marines got launched, like often I’d find between 5 and 8 marines still on my M7M. This was on V3.2 by the way.
I tried it on V1.21 and the problem never appeared but its done slightly differently in V1.21, you have to select the boarding pods as missiles and launch each one consecutively (its very fast though). Each pod gets filled with available marines and off they go in one by one instead of a single barrage. Not sure you can do this remotely though.
As for your save problem, why are you doing it that way? Like save before launching missiles.

It's common practice in boarding operations to save at the start, then at each key point. If you don't get the results you want, reload appropriately.
By doing so, they can make big money selling the spoils while minimizing their cost to capture it. Then they rave about how this is the fastest and easiest way to make big money. I wonder if they would feel the same if they didn't reload for results.

I'll be boarding OOS then. In OOS boarding your target ship won't take hull damage, so just steal a bunch of marines from RRF m7m, pick a CW m2 and jump out as soon as the pods hit. That way you don't ever need to train marines and you don't mind casualties. Plus in OOS boarding the escorts of your target ship won't even attack afterward, I boarded a heavily protected cobra with my senshi by just ramming it till we all have 2% shield, then started jumping away, fired the pods when Betty said "60", and those escorts followed my cobra even if they were red afterward. It was so cheaty but absolutely painless.ancienthighway wrote:It's common practice in boarding operations to save at the start, then at each key point.
