Omicron Lyrae Mission

I am up to the Omicron Lyrae mission. i can do the first part i.e. destrying the khaak ships but then i dont know what u do when it shows the navigational beacon on the M0 class ship. any help?

fly in the beacon (yes it really is that simple). its just a lighting effect.
