I got TS, and a mining laser in the hold. when i select my frieght i can see my mining laser with the words install next to it, but when i select it, it jumps to my weapons selector, and then nothing i can do. it does not show up on my laser list, and i cannot equip it to a turret.
Can anyone help?

It does say in the ship specs, just look at the weapon compatibility chart. Alternatively have a look at this list on the Argonopedia.

Er, not quite true. The Paranid Demeter can carry the mining laser, and you only need to buy one of them. Nividium is bought in small quantities by various stations including some Snail Ranches. To sell in larger quantities, you could try loading it into a captured ship and selling the ship. You won't receieve full price, but it is better than nothing.
