Captured a TL with "Rebuild Station" sticking
Hi,
X3AP Vanilla:
I captured a Paranid Hercules crossing Hatikvah's Faith with a station on board. I had it jump to Home of Legends and want to dock and sell it there.
Each time I give it the "Dock at" command it reverts to "Rebuild station".
I tried to jump into the sector myself, but at that moment the screen turns black and is not coming back to life.
Is there anything I can do?
cu

You have to fly the captured TL yourself to a destination that you want to build the station it holds. Without yourself at the helm it will keep reverting to its AI commands. Of course if the game freezes when you get IS with the TL then that is more a different issue that may stop you doing that.
See if a save/reload resolves that second issue. Good luck.

Sounds a bit like the AI scripts persisting on the Tyrs at the end of Balance of Power (X3TC), which keep following you around if you capture them (or so I've heard, a long time ago...)

Hi,
Since it wasn't worth it, I reverted to the last save before the capturing attempt and capped the Boreas in Aladna's Hill instead out of frustration.

ROFL!!! I speak/read (albeit slowly!) Russian, and I can't make heads or tails of that
EDIT: So I got curious and followed the link. Yes, Google Translate does struggle with Russian (what a shocker...), though one can figure out most of what's said through context. However, once in a while, something really entertaining comes along, such as...
"Full Bleed the twenty troopers are not afraid of any alignment, though the earth TL with a polarizer can deliver impressions"
Btw: I read "svezhezahvachenny" out loud to myself and figured it out: "freshly grabbed/captured"

Google has trouble translating English to English sometimes.
Best option is to jump your TL to you, instead of you trying to head to it.

Hi,
Next time I'm better prepared.
BTW: It's interesting that I could learn something new several thousand hours into that game.

that's basically not needed, since when capping I was anyway only 4km away to swap the Marines out and some e-cells in. If I had known what trouble was to come up, I'd just transportered myself into it.Triaxx2 wrote:Google has trouble translating English to English sometimes.

That's something I love about the "classic Xs" (ie. not Rebirth), the fact that there's stuff to discover and learn even for extremely experienced veterans. Several years and many many thousands of hours of Xs later, I'm still occasionally either learning something new, or coming up with something new to do or a new way to do something (in fact, I'm currently in the middle of a highly successful experiment that occurred to me a week or two ago.)RainerPrem wrote: It's interesting that I could learn something new several thousand hours into that game.
Good hunting.
