[X3TC] Question about Encyclopedia

I like the Encyclopedia because it cuts down on my own personal record-keeping...
But I have a question regarding it's updating.

Does it log info from bases I've discovered or bases I've either visited and/or pulled up info on?

For example...
Let's say I enter a new sector I've never been before.
I discover one Solar Power Plant, one Ore Mine and one Weapon Factory.

I pull up info on the Solar Power Plant and the Ore Mine in the map.
And dock at the Ore Mine.

Does it update with info from all three?
Or just the two I pulled up info on?
Or just the one I docked at?

opening the info page of stations does add the wares to the list of discovered items as well.

so if you view the shipyards info page, all the ships and stations it sells will be added to the encyclopedia.
