Newbie Mod User needs help

Post by The NME » Tue, 23. May 17, 22:52

Just re-installed X3TC, and I have always played vanilla before, but this time I thought a few small changes would make it more interesting.

I have the superbox, & installed Cycrow's Pluger LIte that comes supplied.
I dropped a couple of scripts in, and one that I wanted wasn't there.

I downloaded the Universal Best Buys/sells, & dropped the SPK file into the extra content Scripts & Mods directories (Just to be safe).

But when I run the plugin manager, it can't find the script to add.

What am I doing wrong?
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Just open the SPK file with the plugin manager.
9 out of 10 voices in my head say I'm crazy. The 10th is singing the music from Tetris

I have tried that, but the manager can't see the file to open

Okay. Thanks.

I have got the manager to see the file, but now I get an unknown error.
I am now thinking the script & the manager are incompatible

Thanks.

I will try that.

The manager may need updating as well.

It is as it came out of the superbox, as it's update function isn't working

Thanks,

New script & plugin manager has it loaded.

Now I have them installed, does the game automatically use them?,
or do I have to tell the game to allow them somehow

under settings - define the directory and the type of game (TC/AP)

then start the game inside the plugin manager - there is a icon of the game you configured at the bottom of the Plugin Manager window

Thanks for all your help Mr Prime (Brother of Optimus???)

Where does the game show modified, so that I know it has worked.
Much too early in the game yet for me to be affected by these changes.
(Only got 45 mins playing time so far)
