Hi,

I'm certainly willing to pay for more DLCs if they come with appropriate new experiences like unique stations, ships and/or missions.

Adding new Systems to a space exploration game is a logical consequence.

God no, not even for a new station or system etc. If they want to add content do it a expansion which is at minimal half a new games worth and priced at half the retail games price like say max £15. Which includes new story, new race introduced, new interactive NPC's to talk to or listen to and a new ship list for said new race and station set and maybe new few areas dedicated to new race/story. Dlc that adds so little content as a station or ship is a no no as that should just be free given how little worth such content it is. Don't be like other games offering tiny content for a fiver a pop.

The dlc for xrebirth was overpriced for the tiny content you got.

It'd be humorously apt if people who preordered started with a reputation bonus with the Teladi.

long long time ago in a galaxy not far far away there were game releases, and then later a patch or two, and maybe even an expansion.

Then came big corps and digital distribution and they start selling "DLC", "digital clothing", "pre-order goods" and this became a virus, a virus that infect players and when there is a game that didn't talk about they, they came in numbers to the forums, asking for DLC, preorder-crap and whatnot, spreading the disease further more.
Or so is this story in my mind. :gruebel:

Like lino I don't understand this, probably I'm too old, and I remember playing in the old DOS days where there was none of this.

Perhaps there is a hidden campaign to spread it? :lol:

Like the Teladi Outpost? Then they're stretching it for me.

In the end i'll just wait until all the content is released into a complete edition.

Respectively, OP did ask if free DLC was an incentive to pre-order, although I don't know how that would even work.

Not gonna pre-order it anyway. I don't want to risk beta-testing again. Will buy it once completed.

In that case you shoudn't buy X4 untill at least 1 year after release. Every Egosoft game needed time for final beta-testing post-release.

X4 is built on the Rebirth Engine.
It's enjoyable to play if you're not expecting everything on a gold plate.
