Is there a mod to stop the Terrans and ATF from going aggro?

Post by The Captain » Wed, 13. Dec 17, 16:33

I'm currently playing a new game with the NPC bailing and Salvage Commands scripts, and nothing else in AP. When I get to Omicron Lyrae, I start capping derelicts with a disco, but when I leave the sector, some of the terran and ATF ships in the sector will go aggro and start attacking my recent acquisitions.

Is there a mod that will stop this from happening?

There was a recent discussion on this issue here, if you were curious about some more details on what is happening:
https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=397450

In short, I have a fix in my customizer tool (https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=396158). It is normally intended to be inserted using the tool, but you can skip setting that up for now and just grab the script directly. Get "!fight.war.protectsector.xml" from here:
https://github.com/bvbohnen/X3_Customiz ... er/scripts
You can get the raw text copy from the "raw" button after navigating to the script. Put it in the x3 addon/scripts folder, and rename the existing !fight.war.protectsector.pck file to something else (eg. append .bak or similar). This edit will short circuit the spawning of hostile ships which attack your assets when you are out of sector. (The attacks could potentially just be toned down in severity and frequency, but that would take a more effort and testing.)

Note: in a future update I plan to switch over to using difference files for patching egosoft scripts (for which I still need to work out a couple final details), so the above directions will eventually stop working and the tool will need to be run to apply the mod.

In XRM mod there a plugin XRM no war, but it requires you to use XRM mod as well.
