I'm trying to get back into X3AP (Steam 3.2 vanilla) using a Thrustmaster Hotas X joystick. The throttle does not work, and I cannot set it in options, though the rocker on the throttle seems to default to ship speed.
I have tried unchecking (and checking) the 'Use throttle' option in the launcher, with no results.
I'm not sure what to try next, as there doesn't seem to be much other information on this issue on the web.
Throttle on Thrustmaster Hotas X Not responding.

try UCR/Voy
If you can't get it to work, try UCR (with VJoy).
VJoy is a virtual joystick (single device).
UCR (Universal Controller Remapper) maps axis's and buttons from your devices to your vitual stick.
When you go to play X3, you select VJoy as your device. You should be able to use your controls like that.
