Kyoto Boarded with Ships inside ??
Anyone board a Kyoto with other ships still on board?
What's happens, if true?

I used "Xenon I" first to kill escort and reduce shields.Bill Huntington wrote:Anyone board a Kyoto with other ships still on board?

Escort ships usually were too stunned to do anything useful against Xenon I.
In other cases I used missiles of Cobra to kill escort ships (when shields of the Kyoto are minimal, then escort show itself).

I think Bill means finding (enemy) fighters still passively docked inside it after boarding a carrier. If I recall correctly in vanilla, there is often a race against time to sell the carrier (as you get the total price for carrier and docked ships) before these fighters somehow disappear.
I don't think there is any vanilla way to claim these fighters any more - many X game versions ago you could use carrier command software to get the docked fighters (which were pilotless back then) to all launch and then use system override software to claim them as they did so.

explaining
I'm in AP with the Kyoto, which can dock big ships like M6 and M8. That's what I'm asking about.
TC and carriers is why I'm wondering, but I'm in AP now.

I know I've gotten substantially more for a TM with a fighter in it. The difference may be small enough on a carrier that it can be lost in the balance against hull damage (and I have no report either way on that issue), but on a TM that is normally close to worthless it's really obvious. I have to say though that the fighter in the TM was mine, not an enemy that didn't launch.fireanddream wrote:Really? If I recall correctly you don't get extra money by selling an M1 with fighters inside. I've sold a yaki shuri with 20ish M3, 4 and 5s inside and didn't notice any price difference.

Others such as Triaxx2 seem to agree. Bill might find the last post in that link of interest.
I can personally and definitely say that if you load up a captured carrier hulk with bailed fighter hulks and then send it to a shipyard to sell it, you get the same total as if you had sent and sold all the ships separately.
